Direct answer
Cornerstone Forms Encryption is sold as an annual Stripe subscription. Checkout collects billing details, shows the final payable total before payment, and supports VAT/tax ID collection where available. Live sales remain closed until seller identity, VAT/tax, invoice, legal, and withdrawal gates are final.
What Stripe Checkout should show
- Selected annual plan: Solo, Pro, or Agency.
- Billing address fields required for tax calculation.
- VAT/tax ID fields when Stripe supports them for the buyer location.
- Applicable tax treatment and final payable total before payment.
- Subscription renewal terms and the Stripe-hosted payment flow.
Invoice and receipt expectations
The production Stripe account must show the final legal seller identity, support contact, tax registrations where applicable, invoice settings, and receipt settings before checkout opens. Business buyers should be able to access invoices or receipts from Stripe email and Customer Portal.
Subscription lifecycle
- Annual subscriptions renew until canceled in Stripe Customer Portal.
- Cancellation stops future renewal but does not break installed encryption.
- Expired, canceled, refunded, or suspended licenses stop private update and ZIP download access.
- Plan changes and site-limit changes are not part of v1 unless handled manually through support.
Readiness checks connected to billing
- Tax setup and at least one EU billing-address test are reviewed.
- Customers can manage cancellation, payment methods, and invoice access in Stripe Customer Portal.
- Final seller, support, and tax information is visible in Stripe invoice and receipt settings.
- Terms, privacy, refunds, VAT, data-processing, support, and legal notice pages are no longer drafts.
- Withdrawal, cancellation, and immediate-access handling are reviewed, published, and tested.
Do not open checkout until the billing gates are final.
Use the launch status page and Stripe readiness verifier before setting live checkout secrets and flags.
